The Perlman Foundation Scholarship will benefit my educational goals by helping reduce my bill for the college I desire to attend and further my education to a higher level towards my career. The world is full of opportunities. It’s up to the people in it to decide what to do with it. I've watched many ruin their future by the path they chose. Those who have come before me ruined their success for whatever the situation was and made me want to strive for greater. I learned from their own personal experiences and took them in as a lesson. My senior year has been the most stressful of my entire high school experience. After struggling in my first semester, I still came out on top. I managed to maintain good grades in all of my classes including my two AP courses and got AB Honor Roll. I also made time to apply to colleges that I've been accepted to, apply for scholarships, and participate in my extracurricular activities. This is significant to me because I now understand the time management and perseverance it takes to make it in college and towards my career. Although it’s stressful, hard work does pay off. Realizing my potential and future success motivated me. My personality is what distinguishes me from everyone. I am a natural born leader that draws others in with my witty and blunt attitude. I stand out because I have a different mindset than others on certain topics and won’t change that based on their opinions. I am not the type of person to make cliques. I make it my responsibility to associate with others outside of my normal group to meet new faces with different personalities and backgrounds. I make sure that every person I come in contact with is comfortable and can express themselves around me freely. It’s not good to be boxed in with the norm. Associating with others will help me once I get in different work environments with unfamiliar faces that I will soon learn to adapt to.
