Climb out of the Darkness. What a powerful statement! And so apt. Recovering from PPD can certainly be described as a climb. Plateaus can trick you into thinking you've reached the peak and are ready to descend into normalcy on the other side, only to have you realize that there is still more of a climb remaining. I am grateful to be climbing; to have put one foot in front of the other and trudged my way to a higher elevation than before. It is so good to be in recovery and I couldn't have done it without all the support I have received. Thank you Postpartum Progress, thank you Postpartum Support International, thank you Artemis Center for Guidance and thank you, especially, my family and friends.
I will continue to climb and to support others as they undertake this journey to healing as well.
Will you join me?
Team 'South Jersey Strong' will be walking the Wenonah Lake Loop and Break Back Run Trail in Gloucester County on June 18th at 10am, http://www.wenonahenvironmentalcommission.org/trail_system.htm. I hope you can be there.
