BENEFITING: Foster Care Alumni Of America
EVENT: BOSTON AREA, MA FOSTER WALK
EVENT DATE: Sep 17, 2016
I’m writing to you today because the Massachusetts Chapter of Foster Care Alumni of America (FCAA) needs your support. We are an all-volunteer organization founded on the belief that all children should have a fair chance at success, no matter who they are or where they come from. But we also know that a “fair chance” is something too many children in foster care simply do not receive.
The Massachusetts Chapter of FCAA – made up entirely of young adults who, like me, spent many of their formative years in foster care – works to empower children and youth to break patterns of pain and trauma through peer support, leadership development and use of their collective voice to advocate for change.
As the volunteer President of the MA Chapter and as someone who knows first-hand what the needs of children and youth in foster care are, I ask you to join me in giving them what their peers in most families already have: a fair chance. To learn more, go to http://www.fostercarealumni.org/massachusetts-chapter.
Thank you in advance for believing in our work – and in us.
With best regards and sincere gratitude,
President and Foster Alumna
