On Friday Morning, August 1, 2014 (i.e. tomorrow), I will be swimming the 5.5 miles of the Great South Bay in memory of my friend Maggie Fischer, and to raise money for children's hospice care. (They give like 98% of funds to their official charity, a hospice on the south shore of long island.)

This is in lieu of an email prior to the event with my "training recap" since I haven't done as much as I had planned (read, sort of winging this one). Special thanks as well to Peter Patterson who will be my kayaker this year, replacing my historical partner and guide-through-the-choppy-bay-waters Dylan Patterson, my twin brother.
