THE STORY:

ALFALIT INTERNATIONAL INC wrote -

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

Last year Alfalit came in third place out 700 other charities by raising $110,000 and educating 31,000 people in basic literacy. Our goal this year is to raise more than 200,000 and earn 1st place in the CrowdRise Competition. If we succeed we'll be able to reach our annual goal and help even more individuals around the world suffering from illiteracy.

Alfalit operates in 23 countries. We serve the most impoverished communities in urban and rural areas to improve the lives and economic situation of the people.

Alfalit's Programs help: Reduce poverty. Reduce exploitative child labor. Improve family health, particularly among girls and women. Enhance Status of Women. Promote Democracy. Reduce Crime. Decrease the Incidence of Prostitution and Drug Use Among Young Adult.

We create hope and opportunity through literacy, and need your help to continue this journey. Please donate to our cause and help us reach our goal of over $200,000 this year.
