To the 1798 well wishers who helped raise $99758 for Baby Tai. I wanted to reach out to you one last time and say a big big thank you for your continued support and blessings.

Our beloved Baby Tai is markedly better but is likely to undergo surgery to get her spine fused properly, if the C collar fails to do so. The results from the HALO came in short of expectations. Baby Tai is now a toddler itching to get back on her feet and explore her surroundings. Unfortunately she is still wheelchair bound and is able to put a little bit of weight on her legs when in a walker. She is now 19 months old!!

In the meantime, both mother and daughter continue with their weekly therapy sessions. Tai is slowly coming out of her shell and is happy to be in the presence of people. They longer scare her. Having her grandparents here have been a huge value add.

Mou is still not completely healed and walks with the assistance of her cane when the pain is unbearable. Her broken clavicle and ribs seems to be getting better with each passing day.

Atanu is back at work and thankful for the miracle and for the gift of life. Without the financial and emotional support from everyone who rallied together and stood by them, they would never have come this far.

On the legal side, the Viper Law group continues to negotiate medical and other related expenses. They are hoping to get this to closure in the next couple of months. The team was a God send when we most needed some guidance on the next steps and what-if's. They took total ownership of the legalities associated with the accident.

Periodic updates will continue to be posted on www.facebook.com/taighosh

For me personally, this whole experience has been an exercise in humility and patience. I have met some incredible people along the way and have forged relationships that will last me a lifetime. I now believe in the power of hope, in the power of encouragement, in the power of miracles and in the power of prayer.

This fundraising effort will be closed at the end of the week.
Please feel to reach out to me if you had any questions.

Thank you again for joining me in this journey - where we collectively transformed a tragedy to a story the Ghosh family will live to tell, and all of us will be an integral part of those memories.

Dear Alice,

Thank you so much for your support in helping us raise money for the orphaned bats as well as meet the challenge grant in raising $2,500! With your support we actually surpassed our goal! Although we did not win the contest and the $10,000 prize, we succeeded in raising over $27,000 for the bats! Money we can use to save thousands of little lives months to come.

Just today two more bats came in. One was a youngster grounded due to a wing finger injury and the other bat was simply lost inside a Walmart store (he had taken refuge in a shopping basket). We couldn't save precious souls like these without your support. Thank you again, it truly means so much. ♥

Thank you so much for your donation to help the orphans, Alice! Your contribution is appreciated more than you may realize as two additional free-tailed pups came in this morning (one injured and one emaciated). Both babies are doing well and expected to make it just fine.

Thank you again for your support. ♥

WE WON THIRD PRIZE!

Thank you again, so very much, for donating to our Earth Day Challenge contest! The last few minutes of the contest were literally harrowing, our hearts felt like they would pound out of our chest while hitting refresh after refresh after refresh. We seriously wondered if we would make it, with other groups coming up from behind and out of nowhere with lightening speed. But, thanks to you -our loyal supporters- we managed to stay in third place! The money that came in through the contest, as well as the $10,000 third prize winnings, will allow us to save and better the lives of hundreds of bats FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. Thank you so very much for every penny you gave in making this happen!

And if you have not already received it, a tiny air hug from Lil Drac is included with this email. This email also contains access to your autographed photo of Peekaboo, who we all know is the most charming bat on earth (well, next to Lil Drac, of course :) Please click the link below to access your high-resolution photo of Peekaboo: https://www.batworld.org/peekaboos-photo/

Again, thank you, on behalf of all the injured, orphaned and abused bats who will be helped due to your compassionate support.

Our organization faces a continual uphill battle in securing the financial resources it takes to rescue these misunderstood animals.
