The Story

The Alzheimer's Association needs your help!  More than 5 million Americans are Living with Alzheimer's Disease.  By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer's disease may nearly triple, from 5 million to as many as 16 million.  I've personally witnessed how horrible this disease is. On June 19th 2014 my mother, Lydia Fernandez passed away from complications stemming from Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease.  She was 58 years old.  Over the course of 10 years I slowly watched the disease rob my mother of her memory and independence.  I constantly found myself wishing for a cure.  After her passing, I decided to take a stance against this horrible disease and help join efforts in raising funds to help find a cure.  I decided to combine my love of Lifting weights and my willingness to fund raise in an event called "A Lift to Remember."
