If you are looking for an awesome opportunity to support one of the coolest non-profits in Cleveland, look no further and either join us or give to Cleveland Sight Center’s White Cane Walk and 5K run! We make a difference by educating, empowering, and employing folks who are blind or have low vision and reshape the community’s view of these folks’ amazing potential. This year’s event includes the 5K run, 1 mile fun stroll, as well as the walk under blindfold with a cane and assistance from a sighted guide. As the Director of HR for this amazing organization since February 2015, I have a unique view of the amazing work that occurs in our facilities every day. Our staff is simply awesome, not only with their subject matter knowledge and dedication, but they are the nicest bunch of coworkers you could ask for. And if you choose to come out and join me on June 18th, not only will you enjoy the run or walk, there’s lots of fun events afterwards, including face painting, doing artwork under blindfold, a hula hoop contest and more. Never mind the excellent shopping opportunities at Legacy Village. All the events get underway at 8:30 am. Special thanks go out to all of our event sponsors including, but not limited to, Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio, SWP Foundation, Delta Gamma Cleveland East, Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, and Legacy Village.
