BENEFITING: After-School All Stars

EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2016

THE STORY:

In August 2016 we started the Launch Alpha program at Claremont Middle School. In just 10 weeks the program helped 45 low income 6-8th graders launch 12 businesses and make over $2000.

Now with the help of ASAS's amazing network Launch Alpha is expanding to 5 new schools, with 25 more planned next year. We need to raise money for the equipment, training and curriculum necessary support this rapid expansion.

Up to $10,000 donated by 12/15 will be matched by an anonymous donor. Make your support go twice as far!

What impact will your donation have?

$10 allows 1 student to make and sell their first product - showing each student that they can create value for other people with their own hands

$60 provides a program's worth of prototyping supplies for 1 student - allowing the student to walk away with the confidence that they can create opportunities for themselves

$300 allows us to train one new instructor - each instructor can run the program again and again

$1,200 provides a program's worth of prototyping supplies for an entire class - giving a classroom full of students the experience of designing, prototyping and selling their own products

$8,000 allows us to purchase 1 laser cutter - allowing multiple classes to create high-quality products and gain hands-on STEM experience.

Any donation over $100 will receive a beautiful Launch Edu wooden postcard

If your company would like to officially sponsor a classroom or support us in some other way, feel free to reach out at hi@launchalpha.com
