ALLEN COUNTY SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS wrote -
For over 65 years the Allen County SPCA has served northeast Indiana’s pets and the people who love them. Every year we place thousands of dogs and cats into forever homes - over 2,600 in 2016 alone.
Because we're committed to pet ownership just as much as we're committed to adoption, we also offer services for pets and pet owners in need. Pet Promises is a progressive program that aims to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter by providing free vaccine clinics, spay/neuter surgeries, veterinary assistance, and everyday essentials that pets need but owners cannot always afford..
These efforts, and the compassionate support of our adopters, donors and volunteers, have resulted in the near-elimination of space related euthanasia in Fort Wayne—something that our friends at Animal Care & Control greatly appreciate.
Operating without any financial support from the government, the Allen County SPCA survivesmthrough the generosity of pet lovers in our community who wish to help dogs and cats in need.
