Donations to Alley Cat Rescue are helping to improve the lives of feral/community cats, domestic, and stray cats. Thousands of cats have been placed in forever homes through Alley Cat Rescue's adoption program. ACR also runs a low-cost spay/neuter program and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program to prevent unwanted litters; which helps curb cat homelessness, and reduce shelter euthanasia rates.
Each adoptable cat is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, screened for intestinal parasites, microchipped, and tested for FIV & FeLV. And each feral cat is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, ear-tipped, and microchipped. For over two decades, ACR has spayed/neutered thousands of cats.
A key campaign, "Feral Cat Spay Day," has facilitated the sterilization of over 9,500 cats thanks to over 9,000 vets, from 45 U.S. states, and 3 countries. Through this program we strive to create better relationships between veterinarians, the community, and cat rescue organizations. This event is held every year on May 27th.
