I'm proud to be running the TCS NYC Marathon to help children and adults with disabilities in NE and Central Pennsylvania served by Allied Services. Any size donation will help. Donate $30 in my honor and you'll be eligible to receive a cool moisture-wicking WNEP's Ryan's Run exercise shirt
I’m proud to be a member of WNEP’s Ryan’s Run 8 team, raising funds and awareness for children and adults with disabilities at Allied Services. Growing up, the eldest of 4 children, I remember my own parents struggling to provide the best for my brother, Alex, who has autism. We did not have access to the resources provided by an organization like Allied Services Integrated Health Systems—an organization which would have also served my younger sister, struggling with dyslexia in traditional schooling. Our family moved frequently, and my mother would spend countless hours scouring to find resources for Alex, whether for extra assistance in his classroom, for activities like his music therapy group or film making class, and later for meaningful work opportunities. A facility and center dedicated to the care and treatment of individuals with special needs, like my brother Alexander, truly can make a world of difference.
That’s why I’m proud to be running for 4 year old Brayden Stocki from Scranton. With the help of the amazing staff at Allied Services, Brayden and his family have overcome some major hurdles since his diagnosis with autism at a young age. From a little boy who couldn't bear the sensation of things like water or his own clothes, Brayden has grown into a boy who loves the beach! He is speaking in phrases, able to comprehend those around him and is a bubbly, affectionate, and outgoing young boy who enjoys Thomas the Tank Engine and Batman, like his peers.
