BENEFITING: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
I'm proud to be running the TCS NYC Marathon to help children and adults with disabilities in NE and Central Pennsylvania served by Allied Services. Any size donation will help. Donate $30 in my honor and you'll be eligible to receive a cool moisture-wicking WNEP's Ryan's Run exercise shirt
My name is Tim Schoen, and I am from Scranton, PA. I’m humbled and honored to be part of WNEP’s Ryan’s Run 8 team.
To have the opportunity to combine with my interest in running with raising money for those with disabilities in our local community is a great honor. Throughout my life I have seen numerous family members and friends experience the great care and compassion provided by the Allied Services team.
I took up running as a way to challenge myself in 2013 following the death of a close friend, Cody Barrasse. Running was a way of honoring him by pushing myself to be better. Since that time, I have developed a great interest in the sport and continued to push myself, completing multiple marathons and half marathons. The New York City Marathon will be different, however. I will not just be running to push myself, I will be running for those who are unable to.
While I am not running through the streets of Scranton, normally before the sun comes up, I work as the Marketing Coordinator at Borton-Lawson, an engineering/architecture firm based in Wilkes-Barre. I am also a high school sports official and scorekeeper for the Scranton Prep basketball team.
Thank you for your support throughout this journey to New York City!
