BENEFITING: ALLIED SERVICES FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2013
Since 2010, ABC affiliate, WNEP TV's Ryan Leckey, has lead a team of runners in the ING New York City marathon, all to raise funds for children and adults with disabilities served by Allied Services. In just 3 years, the Ryan's Run campaign has raised more than $500,000, inspiring northeastern Pennsylvanians to new levels of fitness and improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Thanks to our amazing runners and supporters, Ryan's Run has allowed us to offer services to pediatric patients, regardless of their family's ability to pay. We've invested in cutting-edge rehab technology that's changing the face of rehab for patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury and neurological conditions. In 2012 we enhanced our music therapy program and installed the lastest technology for balance screening and treatment.
In 2013, Ryan will lead a team of 50 runners accross the finish line! We have runners of all abilities (first time marathoners, Ironman athletes, Crossfit athletes) and professions (school teachers, therapists, a radio DJ, a registered dietician, a photographer, business owners). One thing unites them all - a passion to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities. Support Ryan's Run and become an inspiration for someone living with a chronic illness, injury or disability.
