BENEFITING: Save the Children
EVENT DATE: Aug 31, 2012
Seven years to the day since Katrina wreaked havoc through the Gulf of Mexico, Isaac takes a similar path; shaking up the lives of those in the surrounding areas. Although the impact wasn't as heavy, the need for support is just as crucial to help these families put the pieces back together.
Using art & music to draw attention to the destruction left behind, we are determined to raise funds in hope of relieving the people who were affected.
"Hurricane Isaac has devastated communities in Louisiana and Mississippi, forcing families from their homes and leaving a wake of destruction. In response, Save the Children’s emergency response experts are on the ground working with local emergency officials to ensure the needs of children are met during this difficult time. We’ve also supplied shelters with books, toys and other kid-friendly items to help children cope with the emergency.
Girls and boys need your generous gift to support our efforts to provide care and programs for children. Children also need safe spaces in shelters, as well as emotional support for those who need extra help dealing with the disaster.
Donate now to the Hurricane Isaac Children in Emergency Fund to support Save the Children's responses to ongoing and urgent needs as a result of the hurricane and tropical storm."
