I am honored to represent Alpha Gamma Delta in Delta Tau Delta’s annual philanthropy, Miss Greek. I am currently enjoying my first quarter at the University of Washington, pursuing an education in business and environmental studies. I am very passionate about scholarship and I was very excited when I learned that Cancer for College takes a different turn in aiding cancer survivors by providing the opportunity of an education. The high value I personally place in philanthropy spurred my desire to represent AGD in Miss Greek. I hope to incorporate some of my own interests into my Miss Greek experience, including health wellness, food tasting, and community service. Cancer for College strikes me as particularly important because rather than focusing on simply surviving, this NPO fights to build fulfilling lives for those who have prevailed in battling cancer. While I have never taken on an event of such scale before, I’m excited to proudly lead Alpha Gamma Delta in supporting a cause that will make education a possibility for those who may not have considered it an option. I’m ready to prove that my house can make a positive impact and change the lives of others.
