BENEFITING: MESOTHELIOMA APPLIED RESEARCH FOUNDATION INC
Al Amigoni is the smartest man I'll ever know. My Dad, my protector, my professional and ethical role model, always my example of strength and intelligence on every level and my friend that has blessed my life since day one and every day. Words cannot express my love and gratitude.
September 26 is MESOTHELIOMA AWARENESS DAY! My Dad was diagnosis with this rare cancer last October. Help find a cure!!!
Mesothelioma?! Why? Why my Dad? How and why this rare cancer?! Nothing seems logical and we thrive on logic. My Dad blows my mind at the trivia questions he has always been able to answer correctly but these trivia questions are ones which we will never know or understand the answers. A day at a time, don't rush. These were phrases my parents said while waiting for doctors to figure out my Dads diagnosis and ones I have been deeply trying to embrace since then. As is evident all around us the only moments we know we get are the present. Cherish them, embrace them and soak every bit of them in... even the rough ones hide little bits of beauty. Some of this beauty I would never have noticed or experienced a year ago. Dad... always and forever teaching and guiding us!
As my typical fundraising time of year has been approaching I have been wishing there was anything I could do to help my Dad a fraction of what he has helped me in life so, fundraising for mesothelioma research is my goal. As he presses on in his stoic, strong, unwavering manner through this battle with an enemy that needs more and more research to defeat, I am reaching out to all of "Al's Amigos" to join the fight by making a donation to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation Inc. in September (or anytime, of course!). Click the "DONATE" button on this page to give to an organization that provides incredible support and connection for patients and their families, raises awareness for meso and funds promising research projects in an effort to cure it. Believe in a cure!!!
Al's Amigos have already given our family so much love and support and we are truly blessed to have you in our lives. We could never thank you all enough. We love you all!!!
