BENEFITING: The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter
EVENT: Pittsburgh Marathon 2017
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2017
As many of you may know, I have ran the Pittsburgh Half and Full Marathon in the past. This year will be different for me. I am running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to help benefit The ALS Association Western PA Chapter, and more importantly running for my awesome Uncle George who is currently couragiously battling this disease. Please conisder donating to this wonderful cause so that one day a cure for ALS can be found. Thank you for all of your love and support! Below is a description of the ALS Association and the Western PA Chapter. Thanks again!
The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. ALSA covers all the bases — research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — in providing help and hope to those facing the disease.
The ALS Association National Office and the Western Pennsylvania Chapter operates under a shared mission: To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
