BENEFITING: The ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter
EVENT: 2018 Pittsburgh Marathon
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2018
My aunt Janet is my why. She passed away from ALS on May 9, 2000, after suffering for many years. This cause is near and dear to my heart and I truly hope they will find a cure! Researchers are getting closer every single day. I was recently reading a letter she "wrote" via blinking because she was paralyzed from the neck down, and in that letter she said, "the only regrets I have in life are things I didn't do." That letter took two months to "type" and it was only 2.5 pages.
I am running for her and for those who suffer or suffered from ALS. Please let me know if you have any questions about ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
If you are interested in donating to the ALS Association to help me reach my goal of $500, please find the information on this page. Anything helps! ❤️
