Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! Can you believe this is my 5th year involved with iMentor? The two pictures are my former mentees, Darlene and Elianna. I've managed to stay involved with iMentor as part of the Young Executive Board while I was in business school in Boston. Even though I am back in NYC now, my unpredictable schedule due to consulting does not allow me to mentor this year.
Mentoring is something I truly believe in - I could not be where I am today had it not been for people along the way who reached out and helped me. I want to pay it forward and help other people develop relationships that can change their lives. iMentor supports this ambition, which is why I am trying to raise $1,000. This will cover one mentor/mentee pair for one year.
Click the Donate button (at right) to make a donation, or go one step further and help us fundraise and select Create Your Fundraiser. You’ll get your own fundraising page where you can share your amazing mentoring efforts with your family, friends, and other networks and encourage them to donate.
All of us at iMentor thank you for your support.
iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students in low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.
Students and mentors work one-on-one through iMentor’s online and in-person curriculum to navigate the college application process and build critical skills linked to college success. In New York City, iMentor partners with public schools to ensure every student in the school receives a mentor.
Since 1999, iMentor has connected 11,000 students in New York City with mentors, and will match more than 2,400 mentor-mentee pairs this year. iMentor also provides its curriculum, technology, and best practices to nonprofits nationwide to help them run effective mentoring programs in the iMentor model.
