This year, I decided to push my limits and do something I never thought I'd be able to do -- run a half marathon. Running those distances gives you a lot of time to reflect. In those meditative moments, I have come to realize how incredibly lucky and grateful I am to have my health and to only have to worry about finding the desire to push myself through the next mile. Many are not so lucky -- including the children who are treated through the Children's Miracle Network hospital systems. We have one of these CMN hospitals right in our backyard here in Sioux Falls. 62 children enter a CMN hospital each minute. That's one per second! Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease. Regardless of why the kids are there, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible. Please consider helping me support these services as I run this half marathon! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
