EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Hi I'm Joe. I've joined this fundraiser in hopes of bringing more awareness and funding to my local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Last year I ran and raised over $2100 during Boston's Run To Remember half marathon race as part of the Alzheimer's Association Run Tri Ride team. What got me started in this endeavor was the loss of my grandmother Virginia to this terrible disease in 2006. Every year since my family and I have raised money and walked in our local chapters Memory Walk in her memory and to help find a cure. I want to continue to do my part by running in this years Boston Marathon. I set my goal at $2000, hoping to raise more if possible. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated.
The Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter is proud to announce that members of our "Run to End Alzheimer's - Boston 2015" team are running in the 119th Boston Marathon® on April 20, 2015. The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world's most prestigious road racing events. The Boston Marathon has distinguished itself as the pinnacle event within the sport of road racing by virtue of its traditions and longevity.
In 2014 the RUN TRI RIDE to End Alzheimer's raised over $1 million to support programs and services for those impacted with the disease. The Boston 2015 team is determined to continue this tradition of success, as we celebrate our 14th year!
