ALZHEIMERS DISEASE & RELATED DISORDERS ASSOCIATION wrote -
The Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota has been providing services, information, and advocacy for more than 30 years to people with dementia, their families and health care providers. This Chapter is one of seven founding chapters of the National Alzheimer's Association, headquartered in Chicago.
Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s.
The Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
An estimated 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease in 2016, including 370,000 in Minnesota and North Dakota. Barring the development of medical breakthroughs, the number will rise to 13.8 million by 2050.
The Alzheimer’s Association, Minnesota-North Dakota chapter, continues the fight against Alzheimer’s disease through vital research, advocacy, and essential programs and services. Until the time when we can achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s, the Association will continue to provide support and hope to those touched by dementia, their families and caregivers.
