As a native of the Boston area, I grew up watching the Boston Marathon and aspired to one day to run it. So grateful and honored that 2014 is my year.
The opportunity to run on behalf of American Medical Athletic Association's Youth Fitness Fund hit home for me. I am a busy Mom of 2 active boys, so youth fitness is certainly a cause I can rally around.
