BENEFITING: AMERICAN RUNNING ASSOCIATION
ORGANIZER: AMERICAN RUNNING ASSOCIATION
I can't express how excited I am to run the Boston Marathon in 2015. Growing up, if you had asked me if I'd ever be able to run a marathon (let alone *want* to) I'd have laughed/cried at the same time.
But now I love running. Why? Because everytime I lace up my shoes and get out the door, I prove to myself what I'm capable of. No matter how challenging it is, again and again I surprise myself with what I can do and what I can overcome.
The American Medical Athletic Association's Youth Fitness Fund promotes fitness in kids to help fight childhood obesity in America. But fitness does so much more than that. It raises self-confidence, increases motivation and dedication, and gives tangible proof that hardwork pays off in priceless ways.
If this sounds like a noble cause to you as well, help me support the AMAA Youth Fund this April and donate to the team!
(As an added bonus, anyone who donates here will receive a basket of home-made baked greats--get it? better than baked goods?--by yours truly. Secret ingredient? Love.)
