I need help raising funds to fight cancer—a commitment I started five years ago . . . and will continue as long as these legs will carry me!

I will be running the NYC Marathon on Nov. 2, and the Savannah Rock n Roll Marathon on Nov. 8, to honor those who fight for their lives against these horrible diseases.

In 2009, I trained with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training when my father was diagnosed with blood cancer. A month after I finished my first marathon (and my first race!), my father succumbed. That didn't stop me. His fight was an inspiration to prevent other patients and families from experiencing the devastation of cancer.

Through TNT, participants complete endurance challenges in honor and in memory of those who fight leukemia, lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and myeloma. Research supported by LLS is not limited to blood cancers; LLS has been at the forefront of cancer treatments since its inception over fifty years ago. For that reason, the motto, “Someday is Today,” is for all those affected by any cancer.
