Amanda's mission trip to the Philippines
Organized by: Amanda Hust
God has laid the people of Asia heavy on my heart since I was about 16 years old, at one point I even tried to learn Japanese (TRIED - funny right?). I knew God would call me there one day, I just didn't know when. A few months ago God said "It is time, go!" so here I am, GOING!! The Lord opened the doors wide open and I am excited for all He will do while I am there! January of 2017 I am honored to be joining Fairfield West Baptist Church's Team! We will do a variety of things on this trip, from orphanages to medical clinics and whatever else the Lord throws at us on this trip, but ultimately to bring the love of God and meet their spiritual needs! For those who don't know me well my passion to help people, my job as an EMT/Firefighter has given me the ability to do that here in America, but now I know the Lord is calling me to take that passion to the Filipinos! I am so incredibly excited!
The Philippines is a Southeast Asian country in the Western Pacific, comprising more than 7,000 islands. It is the seventh-most populated country in Asia and the 12th most populated country in the world. At least 80% of Filipinos belong to the Roman Catholic faith, where many practices and beliefs are rooted.
I invite all my friends and family to share in this experience with me. Please join me in prayer for the ministries in the Philippines as well as for my team not only while we are there but in our preparations as well. I also ask that you prayerfully consider financially supporting me on this trip. I am hoping to raise $2,000 by December. Your support means the world to me!
