EVENT DATE: Dec 26, 2012
Dear Friends, Family & Other Amazing People,
Welcome to my fundraising page! I have been chosen, by Community Water Solutions, to be a Clean Water Fellow for winter 2012-2013.
If you'd prefer to send a check, please write my name (Amanda Macchi) in the memo and send it to:

What does that exactly mean to be a CWS Fellow?
The CWS Fellowship Program is a three-week water education and leadership training experience in Northern Region Ghana. The purpose of the fellowship is to teach individuals about the global water crisis, and inspire them to become leaders in the field of international development.
Since the start of the Fellowship Program in June 2010, CWS has hosted 121 students and young professionals in Ghana who have implemented water businesses in 31 rural villages, providing permanent sources of safe drinking water for over 15,500 people!
So what am I going to do there?
1) I'm going to help build a low-cost, community-scale water treatment and household safe storage facility to ensure that the water stays safe and clean while users transport it and store it in their homes.
2) I'll be working to engage communities to ensure comprehensive community access to safe water, sustained use and lasting social change.
In order to this, I need to raised $3,000 to contribute my portion to the water sanitation building. I'll be paying for my own flight and other expenses.
Thanks for your time and your (potential) donation!
