Amazing, but struggling mother, Lisa!
Organized by: JIM MARSHALL
With the spirit of the holidays overflowing, I wanted to reach out and tell you about my great friend Lisa who is severely in need of help although she would NEVER ask for it directly. Lisa is a single mother of two wonderful children, but due to a terrible marriage and even worse divorce, she was forced to move back into her parents basement with her two children nearly two years ago. She was forced to change her children's school due to altercations with the ex-husband, even though she cannot afford the Catholic school tuition. She continues to pray hard every day, but I feel compelled to show her that God has heard her and is ready, willing and able to help ease her burden. I won't go into all of the ugly details, but Lisa was married and now divorced to a local police officer who has repeatedly abused his authority to have her harassed, arrested, detained and physically abused. I have never heard of, or seen, anything like it in my life, but understand that it is sometimes impossible to fight City Hall. When she went to the authorities to have it investigated, it was quickly and repeatedly swept under the rug. While I suggested that she go to the local news stations in her city to shed light on this atrocity, she refused out of concern more about the welfare and feelings of her children...who are definitely caught up in this ugly struggle. But that should give you some insight into who she is. She is first, and foremost, a mother who loves and protects her children at all costs. While she struggles to find employment, she is constantly being dragged into court regarding custody, child support, etc. Even though her divorce was official two years ago, the ex-husband has refused to let this family move on with their lives and find peace as he still wants to exhibit control over them. She has racked up more than $50,000 in legal fees alone! While her family and I have contributed significantly to help her out, it's simply not enough to make a dent. If you are looking for a legitimately great cause and opportunity to share the Christmas spirit, please consider donating to help her and her family gain even a glimmer of hope for 2016! I promise that 100% of the proceeds of this campaign will go directly to her to help pay her attorneys and make sure that she and her children are safe and secure. God bless you and thank you for your donations. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family!
