I arrived in the US in 2015 from Russia in an attempt to escape the misery being inflicted on us. It is hard to express how bad things have gotten since the era of Putin began. I arrived on a visa that just two weeks later would not have been allowed by the government. I escaped to America with my son and hoped to give him an opportunity experience freedom. We applied for political asylum and are awaiting this status. We received workers permits and social security cards. Both of us have worked so hard to make it. We went to for remodeling company working on a resort hotel in Orlando. We worked two weeks and received payment. Then two weeks later the owner of the company told us that the job would have to be completed in order for him to get paid and be able to pay us. We had no choice but to continue since he already owed each of us for two weeks. Now finally, after working for two months, the job is complete and the owner refused to pay us and blocked our numbers when we tried to call him. I spent 12 years working in the emergency room in Moscow and am what is called in America a Mid Doctor. We were working so hard so that I could get my diplomas translated and verified into English. This would allow me to work in a clinic and become stable. Now I am faced with being on the homeless as we are down to a few dollars left. If you could find it in your heart, I humbly ask for your help.
