I run for YOU!
June 20, 2017
BENEFITING: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
ORGANIZER: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
I am honored to run the 2017 New York City Marathon as a member of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention team! The AFSP is the largest U.S. non-profit dedicated to raising awareness, funding scientific research and providing resources and aid to those affected by suicide. It is my goal that on November 5th, I will finish 26.2 miles through the 5 boroughs of New York City, having raised $3,500 for this cause, and taking every step forward for anyone who had ever questioned if they could keep going.
I am running for everyonewho has felt like they couldn't make it to tomorrow, for those who wake up and know that they can, for the families and loved ones left behind with questions, and for those we will never forget.
I run for you, and I run for me. I am running another tomorrow.
I believe that together we can bring hope, advocacy and change to suicide in the U.S. - the 10th leading cause of death in the country. Any support you are able to give to the cause, even a supportive note to get through the next training run, is greatly appreciated!
Follow me here Running for Another Tomorrow on this journey to 26.2 and learn more about how your gracious donation (all donations are 100% tax deductible) to the AFSP will fund research to improve interventions, train clinicians in suicide prevention, and advocate for policy that will save lives. You'll also get hear more about my story and why I advocate for a culture that is smart about mental health.
