The Red Cross dedicates all it's time, energy, and resources towards the goal of eliminating human suffering. With the onset of Hurricane Matthew, people all over the world, including those only a few hours away from us in Athens are having their homes and lives uprooted by this deadly storm. Matthew has left over 1.4 million people in the Southeast without power and has caused 6,000 Georgia residents to seek refuge in 30 different evacuation shelters. Our neighbors in Haiti are suffering immensely with 61,000 people losing their homes and belongings, and over 600 losing their lives.
We as students at UGA and members of Red Cross are blessed every day and want to do our part to help those suffering so much right now. Your donations go to keeping shelters stocked with food and necessities, or even to buying a stuffed animal for a little one who has just lost everything. Please consider donating and helping the Dawgs help others.
Thank you! UGA Red Cross
