Who we are?
American Cancer Aid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that’s dedicated to helping every blood cancer patient have a financially stable treatment and recovery period.
The mission of American Cancer Aid is to provide needed financial aid to blood cancer patients to improve their quality of life and that of their families. American Cancer Aid will do this by providing a $1000.00 per month stipend for 12 months to economically disadvantaged blood cancer patients that receive no government assistance.
How are we different?
Similar cancer focused nonprofit organizations provide money to research and development of treatments. This work must be continued and supported.
What tends to be overlooked in this current format, are the patients’ personal needs. This is not to say patients have no resources; we can get our medical bills paid, medications covered, and we can even get a ride to clinic.
Where patient financial needs are not being met are on the home front. In times when a cancer patient receives no financial assistance from the government, where are they to get the money to pay for the necessities of life? How can a patient begin to focus on healing when they are worried that their family will lose their home, or be able to keep the lights on and have food on the table?
