EVENT: Tough Mudder Philly 2017
As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) when I was 22 months old. Since then, T1D has been a significant aspect of my life and the lives of my family and friends. From my own daily management to my parents waking up nightly for over 7 years to check my blood sugar to my friends at Penn who carry juice boxes around for me (shoutout Jamie and Chloe), T1D is an intense commitment. I cannot thank my family and friends enough for the constant support and encouragement they provide me with. To say the least, I couldn’t do it without them. In recognition of both my 18th year with T1D and my remarkable family and friends, I will be tackling my first Tough Mudder in May!
Please support me in my journey and consider making a contribution to the American Diabetes Association on my behalf. Every dollar I raise goes to the American Diabetes Association, a nonprofit organization close to my heart that works to prevent and cure diabetes. Let’s turn Type One into Type None!
Thank you so much,
