American Dream Deferred
Organized by: Crystal M. Harris
Here is a guy who entered college straight from high school and was introduced to credit. Not being educated about credit he took that on as a necessity. After drowning in debt he took a 23 year hiatus from college until his recent graduation. Please see this article : http://www.nj.com/suburbannews/index.ssf/2015/05/kean_university_grads_turn_tas.html In the interim, he decided to join the Army national guard where he serves selflessly. He is often called upon for administrative duties and is well loved. He even participated in the Summit Parade on Memorial Day. Please see this article: http://www.nj.com/union/index.ssf/2015/05/summit_hosts_their_annual_memorial_day_parade_and.html He is still currently active but has a dream for both him and his family to struggle no more. His gross income reads well however, the student loans, medical coverage for his family, rent, car payments, food and daycare is completely overwhelming. Never having a nest egg and jumping into life feet first is hard on anyone but he is persistent. Please see this write up in the the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/24/business/economy/more-americans-are-renting-and-paying-more-as-homeownership-falls.html I am starting this fundraiser so that he and his family are able to afford to the life they deserve. He is a very modest guy with modest goals. Lets all pull together and jump start his life again in anyway possible. Thank you for your time.
