BENEFITING: American Heart Association
EVENT DATE: May 04, 2014
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
After crossing the finish line of the Pittsburgh Marathon this past year, I swore I would never run another marathon again. Well, here I am 6 months later ready for the challenge once again! With the experience of my first marathon under my belt, I have a better idea on the importance of training and, most importantly, the long runs (ugh!). As part of my experience, I decided to raise money for the American Heart Association. I did a charity run last February for the Disney Princess Half Marathon with the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This was such an amazing experience, and I am looking forward to another rewarding experience not only for myself but for others as well. I chose the American Heart Association charity to support a decrease in cardiovascular and stroke events, which will ultimately lead to healthier lives. In addition, this preventative charity ties into my interests in nutrition, wellness and healthy lifestyles. And of course, you need a hard-working heart for running! :)
Feel free to make a donation for this cause and help me raise my fundraising goal of $500. Also do not hesitate to send me cheers, motivation and well wishes during my training (I’ll need it!). Thank you in advance for your support!
