BENEFITING: AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OF THE NORTHEAST
ORGANIZER: AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OF THE NORTHEAST
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
I will be running the 2016 NYC marathon in honor of my cousin Justin Acocella who we lost to lung disease 3 months shy of his 30th Birthday. My goal is to raise money to support further research in progressive lung disease and raising awareness for organ donation. Despite his condition, Justin lived every day to the fullest and never let it limit his potential. Even up to the end, his positive attitude impacted everyone around him. Those who knew him were blessed. I will be running the day before my 30th birthday in his honor. Please join me in my fundraising efforts for research and raising awareness for organ donation. #DonateLife

The American Lung Association of the Northeast serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. We are part of the American Lung Association, the oldest voluntary health agency in the U.S.
Our focus today is on healthy air, tobacco control and all lung disease, including asthma and COPD. Our mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease and we do that through education, research and advocacy.
We are excited to have our Marathon team representing the American Lung Association of the Northeast and the work that we do in the community!
We have 5 charity bibs available with individual fundraising requirements set at $5,000 per bib. All runners must be approved by ALA before bib is guaranteed. Please email email@example.com if interested. Thank you!
