BENEFITING: American Red Cross
ORGANIZER: Honda LA Marathon Japan Relief
Hi friends and family,
Pretty last minute but I've just signed up to run my first LA Marathon this Sunday. Wanted to run this race for a while but the thought of dragging pain for 26.2 miles shied me away. This weekend finally found a great motivation: run for American Red Cross aid to Japan tsunami victims.
Join me! We'll run from Dodgers Stadium to Santa Monica Pier. Lots of bonding time :)
If you'd rather just run with me in spirit, please donate to support my cause.
Give now to benefit the American Red Cross in providing immediate and much needed help to those affected by the earthquake in Japan and all those affected by the tsunami in the Pacific.
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
Now if you're completely broke and cannot make any kind of monetary donation, you can also cheer for me in person along the way! My plan of attack for this race is 9.16 minutes/mile pace. Look for me!
Thank you for your support... and wish me luck,
