Team Red Cross is honored to be an official charity team of the 119th B.A.A. Boston Marathon®
On November 1st, 2013 I went for a run. At the time I had no idea how much that day would change my life. Over a year, 17 completed races, countless miles, aches and pains later, I'm only month's away from my first Boston Marathon. As cliche as it may sound, I can legitimately say "running changed my life".
As I got more involved in the race community I found myself wanting to do more then crush finish lines and began raising money for the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. Thanks to all your help, by race day, I was the top male fundraiser and every penny went to the amazing cause.
Well, here I am, asking for your help again. Only this time the target is higher, the race is longer (much longer), and the charity is The American Red Cross.
With every mile run and every dollar raised, Team Red Cross runners help to save and transform the lives of people in their greatest time of need. And together, we will finish the race Boston Strong.
Funds raised by Team Red Cross benefit American Red Cross programs and services across Massachusetts. Since 2012, 94 Team Red Cross runners have raised more than $560,000 to support Red Cross programs and services. Runners of all ages and abilities proudly represent the American Red Cross at the Boston Marathon, from first time marathoners to experienced competitors.
