ORGANIZER: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Hello Colleagues, Friends, and Family,
The picture above is Anthony Sebastyn. He was my colleague and friend. He was a loving son, brother and more to his family. He was funny, clever, and a really good guy. He took his own life in December of 2012, and the world is a worse place because of that.
I am running the 2015 Boston Marathon to raise funds for the AFSP. I need your support...
When I ran for AFSP in 2014 I had no idea how many of my friends, colleagues and family members have been impacted by suicide. Dozens of people told me heartbreaking stories of loss and pain of their loved ones. I also heard stories from people who have come back from their own dark places...
The winter weather of 2013-14 was brutal here, and those stories of how my running could help people prevent terrible losses made every cold, wet, training mile worth every step.
The AFSP is a really worthwhile organization: Great people, driven by their own personal losses, wanting to make a difference in preventing tragedy for other families. AFSP makes an impact on the lives of those in the Boston Area and across the country...
Your support is very important. Hearing from you brings meaning and purpose to those long winter runs in the memory of your loved one.
