Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for supporting me as I raise funds for Americares and train for the incredible NYC Marathon which I will be running on November 5, 2017!
Running a marathon has been a goal of mine basically since I started running cross-country and track way back in high school. As much as I hated anticipating the races and got so nervous (honestly, nauseated) before the start, the process of running them became something I really enjoyed. As many of you know, running a distance race is not easy and it's very much a mental game, but being able to persevere through it and make it to the finish line is one of the most amazing feelings!
Having this goal to work toward and reach this November is coming at the right time for me personally. Plus, having the opportunity to raise money for a great organization like Americares at the same time makes it a win-win!
I have chosen to join Team Americares because humanitarian causes are close to my heart. Americares is a health-focused relief and development organization that responds to people affected by poverty or disaster with life-changing health programs, medicine and medical supplies. Each year, Americares reaches more than 90 countries and all 50 U.S. states with innovative health programs and quality medical aid. Americares is the world’s leading nonprofit provider of donated medicine and medical supplies. Since their founding in 1979 we have delivered more than $15 billion in humanitarian aid to 164 countries, including the United States. More info is here:
Thank you, in advance, for your contributions and sending any good vibes my way on November 5th! I'm deeply grateful.
