November 07, 2016
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
This summer, my daughter Hadley was an intern at AmeriCares, an emergency response and global health organization committed to saving lives and building healthier futures for people in crisis. She was so impressed with the organization and its mission that she wanted to give back. So naturally, she volunteered me.
On November 6, 2016 Team AmeriCares runners will take to the streets of NYC to run 26.2 miles to raise funds and awareness for the AmeriCares global mission. Since 1979, AmeriCares has delivered more than $12 billion in medical assistance and supplies to people in crisis worldwide. I am proud to be joining team AmeriCares this year, and although it's been almost 18 years since my last marathon, I can't think of a better reason to pull my running shoes out of moth balls and begin training again.
Please help us get over the finish line - gifts of $25 enbale us to deliver more than $500 in humanitarian assistance, and gifts of $100 multiply to more than $2,000! You can make a huge impact - help us save lives and build healthier futures for people here in the US and around the world!
You can learn more about AmeriCares at americares.org or by following us on social media on the handle @americares.
