Hello Everyone, welcome to my page.
This year I have the incredible opportunity to run with Team AmeriCares in the NYC Marathon on November 6th. I ran my first marathon back in 2006 in Chicago and thought that was it, personal goal accomplished. Now, ten years later I will lace up, train hard and run again. This marathon run, however, will be for a much greater goal, to help raise money for AmeriCares. AmeriCares is a great emergency response organization that helps people in crisis and who have been hit by disaster both here in the United States and around the world.
The main reason I’m running is to support and bring awareness to AmeriCares; however, there is a personal component to my run. I want to be an example for my son. I say to him it’s important to set goals and to dream big but does he really understand at the young age of 8? So why not show him instead!! I thought this would be a great way to show him that with hard work, determination, some fun and support from family and friends your goals and dreams can be achieved.
I am proud to be running with Team AmeriCares and hope you will consider supporting me and the amazing work of AmeriCares.
