To participate in Bingo, donate $20 (per person) through this site prior to the event. As you process the donation, please include the attendee(s) names in the specified field. This amount covers BINGO all night and 100% of your donation will go to iMentor, which Barclays will match.
iMentor matches college-educated volunteers with high school students from low-income NYC public schools with the goal of providing support and resources to the student to help them get into college. The pair builds their relationship throughout high school (typically matched freshman year) through one-on-one meetings, in-person events and online communications. iMentor supports thousands of high school students in the NY area (and they are also expanding in Chicago and San Francisco) and has a proven track record of success:
- 75% of iMentor’s high school graduates enrolled in college, compared with only 50% of low-income students nationwide.
- 83% of iMentor students who entered college persisted into their second year, compared to the national average of 66% for first-generation college students.
Please reach out to Chris Finch, Jen Park or Sara Sason with any questions.
And as a reminder – if you can’t attend the event you are still welcome to make a donation! Every dollar helps bring a high school student closer to their dream of college (and everything donated through this site will be matched by Barclays!)
