Since 2011 Americas for Conservation + the Arts 501 c3 AFC+A has acted as a bold non-profit advancing the potential roles of artists, scientists, academics, and committed citizens, in facilitating landscapes of sustainability and diversity of peoples and ecosystems. We believe diversity is one of the most important conservation strategies we could pursue at this time.
The Americas Latino Eco-Festival -ALEF- is the environmental campaign of Americas for Conservation + the Arts 501c3 -AFC+A- It aims to forge a more diverse and inclusive conservation movement and to strengthen a multicultural voice on issues relating to climate change and environmental justice.
ALEF brings together thought-leaders of both continents to discuss the challenges at hand and propose solutions that inspire our communities to take an active role in environmental stewardship, while celebrating Latinos' long history of ecological wisdom and THE NEW SHADE OF GREEN they bring to this movement.
AFC+A CAMPAIGN WILL CREATE LAUNCH A CAPITAL FUND TO:
Provide assets to work in perpetuity for general operations including strategic development, establishment of a paid staff committed to the building of a sound and stable financial future for the young AFC+A, and the launch of the 5th ALEF Anniversary Edition set for September 15-17, 2017.
