BUILDING LIFE: SELF-RELIANT FOSTER HOME IN SANTA ROSA
Organized by: Page Ollice
I have designed a self-reliant home that can be used to take care of all the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs for children in foster care. It is autonomous and will not need government funding. It will provide all the needs for the children as well as teaching them values:
1) living sustainably
2) learning discipline, respect, work ethic, and life skills
3) how to live effectively on their own
The children will grow up in an environment where they learn to value work and dedication. They will be taught the benefits of providing for themselves, and consuming less. This will create healthier, happier lifestyles for the children, focusing on longevity and sustainability.
If a child grows up learning that he is required to pull his own weight, to work hard, and to contribute to the unit as a whole, the child becomes a man that takes responsibility for himself and paves a better future for both himself and for his children.
Through my designs, alternative building methods, and mostly self-performed labor, the entire project could be done for less than $50,000. With this money, I can build the residence as well as everything needed to inspire a future. Every donation and SHARE helps.
Thank you for your time, support, SHARES and donations.
