BENEFITING: INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
EVENT DATE: Jun 16, 2013
It seemed impossible at the beginning but after practicing for two months non-stop and running for about 300 miles, I'm pretty sure that I can finish the full SF Marathon! and hence achieving my Persian new year resolution very soon ;)
Aside from that, my 25th birthday is coming up too, and I thought it'd be best to combine the two events for a huge charity fundraising! (we will still party, but please no gifts other than through here.)

The charity organization I am planning to raise money for is the Mahak Children Foundation in Iran. They are an amazing non-profit society that support children who suffer from cancer. If you don't know them already, I strongly suggest that you check out their story. It's almost impossible to send charity money in a sane way to Iran but fortunately, according to their website, I can do this through their California Affiliate, ISCC!
According to ISCC, "Gifts to ISCC are tax deductible to the fullest extent of IRS regulations. 100% of your donation goes directly to benefit children with cancer."
ANY AMOUNT is fine. From $10 to many dollars (the website has a minimum of $10). All I really care about is to have at least tried to make an impact on these beautiful beings' lives.
Personal Tokens of Appreciation
Donations of $100 or more, will be appreciated by me singing your favorite Persian song (that I know of) while playing Tar for you on Skype. You can not receive this if you hate my voice.
Donations of $200 or more, will be appreciated by me singing your favorite Persian song (that I know of) while playing Tar for you on Skype AS WELL AS sending you a picture of me holding a "Thank you [YOUR NAME]" placard when crossing the Golden Gate bridge during the marathon race!
Thank you so very much for your help (and the priceless birthday gift)!
