As a mother of two beautiful princesses living in Nigeria, this charity that supports expectant mothers to decrease the child mortality rate is extremely dear to my heart. My first marathon was in Athens Greece two years ago and since then I have run two other marathons but this is the first time I am running for charity and the drive when running for a cause I believe in is completely different. 

Last year alone, 201,000 women living in sub-Saharan Africa died from preventable causes in pregnancy and childbirth. Team Amref Health Africa will once again be dedicating its 26.2 miles to the women in dire need of maternal care services before, during and after pregnancy, and the midwives who are there for them. This year, I will be running the NYC Marathon with Team Amref so please support me and the team as we make a difference!I love to run but I also want to run to make a difference and with your support you will help me realize this goal!
