A Co-worker of mine recently completed a safari trip to Kenya that brought her to the community development work in Trans Mara by AMS unexpectedly. After a site visit, interviews, on line research and careful comparison she was convinced that AMS was the right organization for to work with to make an impact both on the community's development and on the volunteers themselves. She has committed to organize a volunteer trip to Kenya and she has inspired me to join as a volunteer.
What is needed right now is to build a cafeteria for Oloosinon Elementary School, including a dinning hall and a kitchen. Currently the school hosts near 600 students from nearby Maasai villages. After raising enough funsd, I will trave along with other volunteers to Kenya Trans Mara to help with the construction of the cafeteria.
All funds raised here will directly go into purchasing construction materials and equipment for the cafeteria.
