Happy Thanksgiving weekend, …
Happy Thanksgiving weekend, and Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to express my gratitude for all of you who played such an integral part of such an amazing journey to Tanzania, last March.
RadiatingHope updates: There is another climb scheduled this coming March! I am not yet sure if I will be joining this year, I invite you to check it out and even let me know if you are interested in getting involved with our great cause.

On another note, I have applied to an online competition to join Fjallraven (a swedish outdoor company) in the 2015 Fjallraven Polar: an approximately 300km long winter adventure across the arctic tundra. The participants will steer a dog sled all the way from Signaldalen, Norway, to the forests around Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lappland.

To make it happen, I need votes. So if you have just a few seconds, I could use a vote. Just follow the link and click the Blue, "vote" button.

This link will take you to my profile:

Aloha!

I wanted to send a short thank you note to all of you who helped make this whole trek possible. While the fundraising page on crowdrise shows just over $10,000 raised, we actually reached just under $13,000 dollars!
I have been back for a little over a month now. I have been slow to update because I jumped right in to school the day I got back, and haven't stopped yet.
Stay posted for more updates. We are working on some great things.

And read our latest blog posts from Kilimanjaro here:
(there are two posts about our trip)

Good Morning from Arusha, Ta…
Good Morning from Arusha, Tanzania

I started this journey on wednesday from Honolulu on the redeye. And made it here about three days later. Here's to not knowing what day it is, let alone the time. A lack of sleep wont get me down though.
I met up with four other #radiatinghope climbers and volunteers as we had a layover in Amsterdam--this is starting to actually feel real at this point. Upon arrival in Tanzania, we found out the latest there were about 10 of us all together on that last leg of flying from Amsterdam.
With three months of anticipation pent up in my chest, I grabbed my carryon and stepped off the plane. We are really here.
I want to keep you all updated through this journey over the next two weeks, so I will be sending out some.messages through crowdrise, but you can also follow me on Facebook at "help Kili cancer," and while you are at it, find "radiating hope" and follow them as well to get the inside scoop of the journey. If you dedicated a prayer flag, I have sent those all put in the mail, and you can follow the flags journey through radiat hopes blog which you can find through the Facebook page, or going directly to radiatinghope.org
I just want to say thank you again, you have each played a part in making this whole journey possible. We will be having a groundbreaking ceremony next week after the six day climb to the summit of kilimanjaro. Stay tuned for more updates and God-bless.

Very Best,
Spencer

Amy, Thank you so much for …
Amy,

Thank you so much for your donation. I am so humbled by all of the support that I have received, and you are a huge part of that. Every dollar donated goes directly to the building of the Cancer Center. And together, we can make a huge difference.
Since you donated $20 dollars you are eligible to sponsor a prayer flag in honor of someone you care about and even have their initials/name inscribed on it. We will also send you a real copy of the flag to keep with an official radiating hope sponsorship certificate.
To do this, send me the name of the honoree, and a mailing address for you or the honoree (wherever you want the flag and certificate sent)
I also invite you to send me a story of the honoree that we will share together on the trail every night as we climb Kilimanjaro. I will also be taking pictures of the prayer flags at the peak which I will share with you.

Best,
Spencer
